The Nomination Deadline Has Been Extended to August 30th!
Nominations for the Golden Key Awards open from July 10th through August 30th. This is your opportunity to recognize outstanding professionals in the multifamily industry who have shown exceptional dedication, innovation, and leadership. Submit your nominations within this period to celebrate the individuals driving success and growth in our vibrant industry.
July 10 - July 31: FREE Early Bird Pricing for Nominations.
August 1 - August 30: Nominations will be $25 per submission.
ALL NOMINATIONS must be submitted by FRIDAY, AUGUST 30th at 5 p.m. to qualify!
*This includes nomination forms, supporting documents, letters, photos, etc. Any late submissions will not be accepted.

Frequently Asked Questions
- How much does it cost to submit a nomination?
- Nominations are FREE for the month of July, starting August 1st, nominations will be $25 for each nomination.
- What documents or materials will I need to submit a nomination?
- All nominations will require a photo of the person, team, or company being nominated. You will also be able to add letters of recommendation and other backup materials (such as notes from residents or clients). During the judging process, the more information the better!
- Can I nominate someone from another company? (i.e. Nominate your favorite supplier partner!)
- Yes!
- Can I nominate myself?
- Yes!
- Is there a limit to the number of nominations that I can submit?
- Nope! But, you may only nominate a person or company once per category. (Tip: the more submissions for a nominee does NOT mean the better chance of winning. Judges will select a winner based on the details and documents that are shared on their submission, so the more detail the better.
- How many awards/winners are recognized in a category?
- There is typically one winner per award. In several categories, winners will be recognized by size (i.e. unit count) or other differentiating factors. In those cases there may be multiple winners for that category, but one winner per subcategory (i.e. Small community, Medium Community, or Large Community).
- How do I know if the person or team/company I want to nominate is eligible for a specific category?
- At the top of each nomination form, there is a description of that category that will help to determine who qualifies to be nominated. You can also view the full list of category descriptions linked here.

- I started and saved a nomination, how do I resume to complete it?
- When you originally saved the nomination form you would have been sent an e-mail with a link to access the form at a later date. Be sure to check your spam folders, but if you don't see it, you can reach out to Carina@aago.org for assistance!
- How are the award nominations judged?
- Awards are judged by association staff from outside of our market, and outside of the state! They are given a rubric for each award category based on the unique characteristics of the award. It's important to be thorough as the judge won't be familiar with the person, team, or company/community you are nominating so it is up to you to paint the picture!
